Memory Care: The staff at Arthur’s White Pines are trained in memory care are prepared for the later stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s. We have received years of training from specialists in memory care, and continue to take ongoing training. The staff are prepared with effective responses that helps to preserve and maintain the client’s dignity. With the consultation of a number of experts, we have designed our home to accommodate individuals in all stages of dementia. We offer secured entrances, seamless neutral flooring and blinds/drapes on the window to minimize issues associated with Sundowner’s Syndrome. The walls are painted in colors that are contrasting to the fixtures (sinks, toilets, etc.) throughout the house in order to help those with dementia to locate these critical objects. We offer a Memory Care Coffee Club (through the Alzheimer’s Association) for caregivers and family members, as well as seminars for friends and family to learn about memory care issues.

Respite Care: Providing care for a loved one is the right choice for many families, but it can also be challenging at times. We are equipped to provide respite stays while the caregivers are away or to help in recovery 
after a health issue. Respite stays are typically between 2 and 30 days in length, and we are pleased to accommodate longer stays. Respite clients enjoy all of the amenities of long-term clients. Respite stays are subject to availability.
Hospice Care: At Arthur’s White Pines, we consider providing hospice care for any client to be both a privilege and responsibility. We provide extensive hospice training for our staff and work with proven hospice agencies to provide dignified, respectful, comfortable care to both individuals and their friends and family going through the end of life process.
